Our Esteem Parents and Guardians

Members of the Press present,

Able teachers of the schools,

The graduates,

Ladies and gentlemen

It with warmth and heart filled with gratitude that I welcome you to another end of the session celebration of the school, staff and pupils as well as parents. I give hearty thanks to the almighty God for his enabling grace which we have enjoyed in the school throughout the out-going academic session.

The academic session has been filled with tremendous activities that have exposed the pupils to internal and external competitions, invites, training and events. In all these our children has shown that they are up to the task through their commendable performance while also thanking God for the sound mind and health. It is worth stating that will have remain undaunted in achieving our goals while eliminating distractions and facing challenges squarely. This focus has made us compete favourably among our equals and also setting the pace for others to follow.

The achievements recorded this session is laudable. Our pupils participated in the Turkish Mathematics’ Competition 2018, where over 65 schools and over 2000 pupils participated in Ondo state alone. The school’s best candidate ranked 7th among other 2000 competitors, setting a new record in the school as the best placed candidate in the competition as against the 9th position earlier recorded. This result and a quest to surpass the record set informed the Schools’ Mathematics Olympiad competition toward improving pupils love for mathematics. It is worth stating that the outstanding performers in this competition will be handsomely rewarded today to motivate other pupils to love mathematics.

In the same vein, the annual terminal examination for Primary Five pupils known as Common Entrance Examination took place also this session. Remarkable success was recorded by our pupils. Similarly, in a bid to imbibe the act of purchasing and reading books in pupils and students alike, the school participated in the world book day. April 23rd 2018 recorded book exhibition, purchase, writing seminar, as authors were on ground to train pupils in the writing workshop; among others things that took place in the event. The school have since decided to incorporate this into the schools’ calendar for continuity.

In addition, the second edition of the heroes and heroines project was carried out this session. The event witness huge turn out from parents, media and invited guests. It was a great event to behold as pupils showed their presentation skills while dressing just like their heroes and heroines. This year’s edition surpasses the last edition and the next edition promises to be better than this year’s edition.

Training, teaching and educating the pupils alone will make the teaching job boring and rigid hence the school crave avenue for trainers of learners to also be learners of the training. This was done by educating first, teachers of the pre-schools ahead of a new international curriculum tagged Early Year Foundation Stage (EYFS). The curriculum that is expected to be adapted from next session. The new curriculum offers an exceptional learning skills and knowledge transferred to the pre-school pupils. Also, teachers and pupils were exposed to the basic facts of African Nations during their respective independence’s day. Value Education that had topics on Hospitality, Queue, Responsibility, respect among others has also been introduced to the pupils in a bid to present graduates that have been raised up in the fair of God and academic excellence.

Avenue was also open to Parents as the session witnessed another edition of the Parents-Teachers Forum (PTF). Parents’ testimonies towards the events have been encouraging while we promise not to relent in our dealing of making a great Parent-Teachers relationship. This quest would not have been achievable without the motherly care, prayer and support of the Proprietress of the school, Mrs Dunni FAGBAYIBO. I pray the lord will continue to bless you the more with knowledge. It is worth stating that the school is endowed with teachers of highest professionalism, care, understanding, hard work and love for the job. These attributes have made them monitored the pupils both in school and indirectly at home through tasks given among others ways. I appreciate the level of dedication and commitment shown throughout this session.

In conclusion, I want to use this medium to appreciate our parents and guardians for your visits, piece of advice, counsels, criticism, moral and financial supports at all times. These have contributed also to the success recorded this session. As the session comes to an end today, I wish to state that, like Oliver Twist, we are asking for more love, passion and care for both the pupils and teachers.

In conclusion, am so proud of the graduating pupils who have been fired, wired, trained and polished to become the gold of such esteem value that is been celebrated today in both academic and moral values. My advice to you is to be a good ambassador of the school wherever you go. Be useful to yourself, God, Parents, the nation and yourself again.

Thanks and God Bless.
